Right off the bat, though, I realized that it was not going to work to do a comic solely base around making fun of emo kids. Oh sure, it was possible... but it wouldn't be funny for very long, if at all. So Emo Samurai became more wise and weird. I considered having him philosophize in every comic, in the spirit of Calvin and Hobbes.

On a side note, my favorite part of this comic is the title.
