The Comics
Sushi Database is the name of our website, and we have two different comics on it. One is actually named Sushi Database. The other is named The Adventures of Emo Samurai.
Sushi Database was the creation of Jamie Burnet and Lynette Bishop, with Jerrit as the writer and Lyn as the artist. Later, Lyn left Sushi Database and a new artist, Jonathon Mead, stepped up to draw the SD comics. Sushi Database does not update very often, as Jonathon is very busy. This may or may not change in the future.
The Adventures of Emo Samurai was created by Jamie Burnet, who does both the writing and the art. The original sprite of Striker was edited by PrimeOp of ScrollBoss, and many other sprites of Striker have since been created by Ian Burnet. The Adventures of Emo Samurai updates regularly on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, though it only guarantees one story-related comic per week. (It often updates with more than that, however.) If not a comic, a filler is put up.

This comic and its website were originally designed by Jamie Burnet and hosted on www.comicgenesis.com. This website was based off of the design of the original but maintains its own structure and organization independent of Comic Genesis and KeenSpot Entertainment. The site originally used a yellbox but as of 8/2/06 the site uses a SushiBox developed by Ian Burnet. The basic structure of the site is now available for download, and is an excellent start for people starting a webcomic or moving from another service (such as Comic Genesis) to independence. The system includes archiving, a gallery, and a sushibox, and can be downloaded here. Concerns or input about site functionality should be sent to the site technician Ian Burnet at
